I set up Radcliffe on Trent pet sitters over 10 years ago! I was a stay at home Mum to 3 young children. I already had an NVQ in Animal care achieved through Collage in my late teens, I had spent a few years previously working in a busy pet shop surrounded by all sorts of animals, so it felt natural to persue something in Animal care. It was a job that worked around the kids and a way to get me out of the house! It started off with one or two dog walks a week and over those 10 years we have exploded and expanded in to what we are today!
We have a lot of wonderful regular dogs, cats and small animals as our customer base and their owners we consider friends. We are constantly taking new enquiries and adding to our lovely groups. In 2016 James left a busy, stressful managerial role and decided to set up his own IT business, this left some time
throughout the day to help me
out with the dog walks and the cat feeding and over those years we became so busy that he has become a permanent fixture on our walks and now we are partners. I don’t think we’ve ever looked back from the years of 40+ hour weeks only seeing the kids on a weekend to now spending his days surrounded by nature and amazing dogs!
